How can work-at-home moms feel more connected? This KDKA video has answers.

This week, writer Meg St-Esprit (who serves as Kidsburgh’s events editor) stopped by KDKA-TV’s “Talk Pittsburgh” to talk with co-host Mikey Hood about the wonderful and also challenging experience of being a work-at-home mother. Meg recently wrote an article about this for the website Care.com.

In the video below, Meg talks about the Flexibility Paradox: There are definitely up-sides to working at home, including things like more time with your kids, less time and money spent commuting, and flexibility when kids are home sick from school.

But then there is the isolation. “Most days, I’m sitting typing at my dining room table,” Meg said, “and it feels lonely. And that’s not uncommon.”
