As a communications consultant, she works with organizations to tease out and tell their stories. And through her firm Breadcrumbs, she works with private clients to capture, preserve and use their personal experiences in ways that propel their lives forward. Yu-Ling Cheng | Kidsburgh Director

Yu-Ling was instrumental in creating Kidsburgh and currently serves as Kidsburgh’s director and head of marketing. She is also the guiding force behind our family/school engagement research project, Parents as Allies. Yu-Ling is an entrepreneur, marketing/PR professional and musician (violin). She loves exploring Pittsburgh with her two daughters and trying new things during Remake Learning Days Across America festival. Kristine Sorensen | KDKA-TV anchor and reporter

Kristine contributes Kidsburgh stories in her role as an anchor and reporter for KDKA-TV.  She also volunteers as an MC for many charities and has performed with a local professional dance company. In 2019, Kristine won the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award for Best Feature Reporter for three Kidsburgh stories and was nominated for the Golden Quill for this story. Kristine has two girls and a boy, and loves the journey of parenthood.

Meg is a freelance writer who manages Kidsburgh’s events coverage and also covers the most interesting and quirky ideas about parenting, home design, education and travel for Kidsburgh and many other media outlets. Her work has appeared in a variety of publications including The New York Times, Washington Post, Romper, Fodor’s and more. She lives with her husband, four kids (and way too many pets) in Bellevue.

Sally, who served as Kidsburgh’s editor for five years, is an award-winning writer and editor who has been covering her favorite city for more than 30 years. She appreciates all that Pittsburgh offers families and has a blast guiding her 10 grandkids to new discoveries.
