Saturday Sequence Architecture Class
7 week class for Elementary, Middle and High School. Saturday Mornings, 9:30am -12:30pm
January 31st, Feb 7, 14, March 14, 21, 28 April 11th, CFA Room 214
This course aims to provide all students with a hands-on introduction to architecture and design thinking. It also offers middle and high school students a chance to be on campus and experience what it is like to be an architecture major at Carnegie Mellon University.
Week 1: Scale and Program Design
Week 2: Massing Models, Exploring the shapes and forms of buildings.
Week 3: Structure and Stability,+ Guest Workshop
Week 4: Big Modeling , Collaborative design and refinement.
Week 5: Floor Plans and Interior Design
Week 6: Polishing and preparing projects for presentation.
Week 7: Carnival, 10:30 arrival, enjoy the carnival with your family.
Work will mostly be done by hand, however, we will introduce the class to SketchUp, and AI. Need-based financial assistance is available upon request.
