Do you love everything theatre? In this theatre production camp, students will learn what it takes to put on a show from start to finish and find the power of collaboration in the process!
Your young theater-lover will not only act on the stage, but gain a full understanding of the skills needed to produce a show – including the roles of set, costume, light and sound designers. At the end of their five days, the camp will conclude with short plays performed by the students.
Ages 3-5 | July 24-28 | 9am-12pm, 1pm-4pm | $200 to attend one session, $350 for both
Created with our youngest audiences in mind, learners & make-believers ages 3-5 will be enchanted by the world of storytelling in this spectacular camp. Teaching artists will lead the students in visual art, creative play, movement, and music to demonstrate the many different forms of storytelling. Each half-day session offers a different focus theme for the week. Students are welcome to sign up for both sessions for a full day experience and will have a chaperoned lunch time.
Campers must be FULLY potty-trained prior to the beginning of camp.
Kings and queens, princes and princesses & dragons and fairy tales will guide the storytelling for the morning session. Campers will experience what it means to immerse themselves in fantasy stories through all mediums of art.
Critters of all shapes and sizes feature in the afternoon sessions! Campers will experience stories about different animals & engage with the stories through all mediums of art; move your body like jungle critters, create a visual representation of sea critters, make sounds like farm critters – the possibilities are endless!
Grades 9-12 | July 24-28 | 9am-4pm | $350
Design, create, and explore! If you are a future Broadway costume designer, an everyday fashionista, or just looking for a new creative hobby, join us for a week of fashion, sewing, and fun! Students will dive into concepts of fashion and design for both practical and artistic endeavors, learn the basics of hand and machine sewing, and how to read sewing patterns. This camp will culminate in a presentation for family and friends. No prior experience in sewing is required!
Registration is open now – we hope to see you this summer! Visit TrustArts.org for more.
