The North Allegheny School District is the largest suburban school district in Allegheny County. District facilities consist of: seven elementary schools (grades K-5), three middle schools (grades 6-8), two high schools (grades 9-10 and grades 11-12), two administration buildings, the Baierl Center, and Newman Stadium. The current enrollment for grades K – 12 is over 8,100 students. The District currently employs more than 1,000 people full-time in the roles of administrators, professionals, paraprofessionals, and administrative support staff.
North Allegheny School District has been ranked as one of the best school districts in the Nation by Niche.com. North Allegheny was ranked Best Districts in the Nation (#15), Best Districts in Pennsylvania (#3), Best District in the Pittsburgh area (#1), and Best District in Allegheny County (#1). North Allegheny was the only school district in Western Pennsylvania to be ranked in the top 40 of the national Best School Districts list.
North Allegheny’s Comprehensive Planning process has resulted in the development of six major Goals through which the District can realize its Mission of preparing all students for success in a changing world. These Goals provide the foundation upon which the District’s Annual Work Plan is built. Goal #5 is Innovation: We will innovate our educational practices and become leaders in technology integration. This goal is rooted in the belief that we are obligated to provide our students a technology-rich environment which is reflective of the world beyond the walls of our school buildings.
