Celebrate Earth Day every day with CLP’s reading suggestions

Happy Earth Day, Kidsburgh families! Along with attending the many Earth Month events happening around the Pittsburgh area, you can also celebrate the planet and teach your kids a bit about the environment by reading.

Our friends at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh have shared this list of Earth Day book recommendations you’ll find below. There are great stories here for the young readers in your family and plenty of titles you can read to your kids at bedtime.

From a whimsical tale with a message about recycling to Earth-friendly crafts and recipes, you’ll find something here for everyone:

How to Make a Better World by Keilly Swift

A guide to making the world a better place and becoming a good citizen, this volume is packed with ideas and tips for kids who want to know how to make a difference. Includes a glossary and a list of organizations, websites, and campaigns to give readers more information and ideas.

I Have the Right to Save My Planet by Alain Serres

Maggie’s Treasures by Jon-Erik Lappano
