Catch the video: Pittsburgh’s family-friendly Earth Month events on KDKA

Kidsburgh’s director Yu-Ling Cheng visited Pittsburgh Today Live to chat with hosts Heather Abraham and David Highfield about all the cool activities in our Earth Month events guide.

Among the many favorites still to come this month: On April 20, Wild Earth Day is happening at the Pittsburgh Zoo (same day as the Zoo’s Walk in the Wild event). Along with all the fascinating animals, organizations like Starbucks, 412 Food Rescue and Tree Pittsburgh will be at the Zoo to share insights on sustainability and conservation.

Also this month, the Makeshop: Journey to Outer Space event is happening at the Children’s Museum. Families can use recycled materials to build large-scale sculptures of planets, design a spaceship and learn how tools are used to explore the universe. (A special bonus: All month long, the Children’s Museum is offering free weekday admission to parents and caregivers with a child under one year of age, as well as grandparents.)

Check out the details in this video and in our full Earth Month guide.
