My Favorite Pittsburgh Thing To Do With Kids: Y108’s Broadway

Bill Bertschinger, better known to his listening audience as Broadway, is the host of Y108’s morning show, “Broadway’s Backyard.”

He and his wife, Jamie, food service director at Shaler Area School District, live in Mars with their two sons, Peyton, 8, and Finley, 5.

Bill’s favorite place to take the kids for an outing? The Carnegie Science Center.

“We could be there for hours,” he says. “Our boys love going into the submarine, and also Highmark SportsWorks where they burn a ton of energy!”

Bill appreciates the importance of making the time to have fun and connect with their kids.

“Kids grow up fast,” he says. “Setting aside family time makes my wife and I pause from our chaotic schedules and really focus on them without the distractions we have in our day to day routine.”
