Learn more about Girl Scouts and all the engaging and exciting activities your girl can participate in. We also welcome adult volunteers to join in on the fun. As a volunteer\, you will help to make a positive impact on girls’ lives.\nJoin in the fun and learn how you can become a Girl Scout.\nMembership is $25 for girls and adults. DESCRIPTION:Just Action Talks with Ben Gutschow\, Community Organizer for Social and Civic Engagement\, Casa San Jose \nBen is a high school student who is actively involved with the Non-Profit Organization\, Casa San Jose as a community organizer for social and civic engagement. Ben actively advocates for immigrant-rights and climate change. \nThis series of Just Action Talks is offered at a 6th grade level of vocabulary. They are intended for K-12 students\, and are open to any age. These informational interviews are intended to expose students to the variety of jobs available in the field of sustainability. After the adult describes a normal day at their job\, what they love about their job\, its challenges and what it took to get there for about 15 minutes\, the dialogue becomes open to Q & A. All students are welcome to attend. Please try to keep vocabulary at a 6th grade level while asking questions to help make the workshop age inclusive.
