SUMMARY:The Ultimate Middle School Dodgeball Tournament
DESCRIPTION:The rules are simple. \nDodge. Duck. Dive. Dip. Dodge! \nThat’s right! We’re challenging all local middle schoolers to the ULTIMATE Dodgeball Tournament! Take on your friends (or your rivals!) for a great day of fun on our new indoor turf here at Wildwood! \nThe Tournament Champions will have a pizza party at Wildwood immediately following the tournament! \nRegistration is simple! Ask your friends\, decide a super cool team name\, book your sport\, and show up with your game faces ready! PLUS – Teams who register by January 11th will receive a t-shirt with their team name! \nRegister Your Team: https://www.wildwoodsportscomplex.com/registration/ \nCost: $100 Per Team (of 5 players) \nLast day to register is January 18\, 2019. \nHere are the details… \nTOURNAMENT RULES\nEach team must have at least five players.\nThis will be a double elimination tournament.\nNo use of foul language will be tolerated. \nGAME RULES\nTeam will have no more or no less than five players on the court at the beginning of each game.\nEach round is the best of three games.\nEach game has a time limit of four minutes. At the end of four minutes\, the team with the most players on the court wins.\nSix balls will be used during each game.\nBalls will start on the midline at each game.\nPlayers that step on or across any boundary line\, including the mid-line\, will be out.\nPlayers who are hit by a ball thrown by the opposing team are out. unless:\nthe ball is caught before hitting the ground\,\nthe thrown ball is deemed an intentional head shot\,\nthe thrown ball has hit another player first.\nA player who throws the ball resulting in a head shot is out unless the opposing player is ducking to avoid the ball\, in which the player being hit is out.\nIn order to keep the game moving\, if a team has all the balls on their side\, they have five seconds (as counted out loud by a referee) to throw one of the balls. If the team does not discard the ball within five seconds\, the charging referee will call one of the players out.\nIf a player catches a thrown ball before it hits the ground\, one of their eliminated teammates may return to the court\, and the opposing player who threw the ball is out.\nPlayers may use a ball to block oncoming balls\, but if they lose control of the ball they are holding and drop it\, they are out.\nPlayers may not physically touch any opposing player. This will result in the player being terminated from the tournament. \nYELLOW CARDS (2 Yellow Cards Results in Player Elimination)\nPlayers may not argue with the referees decisions.\nPlayers may not spike the balls.\nPlayers may not kick the balls.\nBad sportsmanship will result in a yellow card as well.
