DESCRIPTION:Calling all runners\, walkers\, and short-distance sprinters! The Westinghouse Park race for everybody else is back and scheduled for Saturday\, October 1\, 2022 from 11am – 2pm. What’s the Point .5K\, a 546-yard entertainment-filled .5K “race” for all ages will celebrate George Westinghouse’s 176th birthday and Westinghouse Park’s arboretum designation. All ages are welcome to this Age-Friendly event and there will be trophies for infant\, toddler\, kid\, adult\, and older adult divisions as well as the most memorable finish\, craziest costume\, and best four-legged participant​.

DESCRIPTION:Join the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy for an engaging\, family-friendly hike around Westinghouse Park! On the hike\, we’ll focus on identifying the variety of tree species in the park. No prior tree identification skills needed! This hike/activity is truly for all ages! Hike is less than half a mile on a paved path. (Beware\, there are small potholes in some areas) Slow paced walk. Flat grade.

DESCRIPTION:Fireman Creative is hosting its second annual “What’s the Point 5K\,” a half kilometer run/walk/crawl/hobble on ​Sunday\, September 22\, 2019​. Trash Dash begins at noon\, 0.5K starts at 1pm. \nRegistration fee is $15 in advance and $20 at the event and includes a spot in the race\, super aerodynamic T-shirt\, euro-style 0.5k sticker\, a themed bib\, plus donuts and coffee. \nCorporate teams please contact paul@firemancreative.com \nRace proceeds benefit the beautification of Westinghouse Park. Even if you’re too rusty to race a 0.5k\, we want you there to enjoy the spoils of the event and support the runners of our half K\, better known as the Quarter K. \nThere will be several different prize categories for the winning infant\, toddler\, child\, dog\, adult\, and golden divisions. We’ll also be handing out prizes for the most memorable finish and craziest costume. Don’t be afraid to make your mark.
