SUMMARY:Steeltown Film Academy Summer Program
DESCRIPTION:Steeltown’s Film Academy is a youth education program in digital media arts and filmmaking. The Academy is open to rising 9th graders through recent 12th grade graduates (graduated 2021). \nStudents who successfully complete the program are eligible to apply for a next-level internship opportunity with Steeltown’s Teen Film Crew. Upon successful completion of their internship\, they may then be invited to apply for a part-time job with the Teen Film Crew where they get paid to produce promotional videos for clients and content for our web series: “The Reel Teens: Pittsburgh.” \nThe summer 2021 program runs from Tuesday\, July 6th through August 12th 2021 for four days each week (Monday\, Tuesday\, Wednesday and Thursday) from 10AM – 12PM via Zoom. We will then break from 12-2PM to allow for lunch and travel time to Steeltown\, and end the day in person from 2-4PM.

The cost of the workshops is $1500 to attend . Financial aid is offered if needed.
