DESCRIPTION:Join us for a tour of Steeltown’s space and meet some of our film academy students and teaching assistants! \n\n\n\nSteeltown Film Academy (SFA) teaches a curriculum of the basics of digital media arts — what we call SCALE: storytelling\, camera\, audio\, lighting\, and editing. Upon successful completion of Steeltown Film Academy\, students can apply to the Steeltown Teen Film Crew. The Teen Film Crew gets paid while they continue to build their skills creating promotional videos for clients and working on their own creative content as part of our Reel Teens webseries!

Free and open to the public\, representatives from several colleges and universities will be available to connect with you and your parents for campus visits\, share career opportunities in the field\, and answer any questions you have about their unique film-related programs. \nAdditionally\, you will also be able to tour Steeltown’s creative space and learn more about their multiple programs that support young filmmakers. \nVisiting schools include University of Pittsburgh\, Point Park University\, Carnegie Mellon University\, Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC)\, La Roche University\, Douglas Education Center\, Penn State\, Robert Morris University\, St. Vincent College and more!
