DESCRIPTION:Free\, Family-Friendly Arts Celebration with Live Performances\, Art Demonstrations\, Crafts\, & More! \nJoin the August Wilson African American Center and Hazelwood Local on RIDC’s Mill 19 South Porch for a FREE day celebrating the Arts. \nAWCommunity Day is a family-friendly event that features local vendors\, artisans\, performers\, bites & sips\, and community camaraderie. Come join us in this unique space to enjoy live music\, theater\, art\, and more! \nOctober’s event will include performances by:\nDeMaskus Theater Company\nFLOW Band\nQuest the Yogi\nDJ KB\nand more! \n*Accessibility considerations: ASL interpreter provided. The performance area of the event is concrete and wheelchair accessible. The vendor and food spaces are packed gravel and grass. \nLive art demonstrations and hands-on activities:\nGlass Blowing with Pittsburgh Glass Center Hot Wheels\nArt Welding with Industrial Arts Workshop\nPuppet workshop from Assemble Pittsburgh\nEdible Art – Cookie Decorating with Community Kitchen PGH\nFace Painting by Beanie Paints\nPrintmaking with the Andy Warhol Museum \nFood and Retail Vendors:\nRashod X.
