DESCRIPTION:Self-Guided Spring Wildflower Walkabout\nMay 8-16- Sunrise to Sunset \nWildflowers have been admired for their beauty and usefulness as foods and medicines for many\ngenerations.  Every wildflower\, from the elegant lady’s slipper to the common dandelion\, has its own uses\, stories\, and magic.  Discover the personality\, folklore\, and history of the season’s first blooms on this self-guided walk along one of Jennings’ trails. This program is free and no registration is required.\nVisitors can pick up a guide and follow a designated route to discover the secrets of spring wildflowers. The printed guide and experience are available sunrise to sunset May 8-16 beginning at the Center entrance.

The easy hike includes some steps and uneven terrain\, which is not stroller-friendly. Masks are required. No registration is needed for this free event.

Enjoy a winter walk as you learn the tips and tricks of winter tree ID along with some natural tree history during this special\, limited-time-only\, self-guided walkabout. \nPick up a free guide and follow a designated route to discover the secrets of winter tree ID.  The printed guide and experience are available sunrise to sunset January 9-17 beginning at the Park Office. The guide will be located in the brochure rack outside the office\, inside the office\, or an electronic copy can be requested. \nThe route contains some steps and uneven terrain but is generally easy. DESCRIPTION:Owl Prowl and Woodcock Watch: Bartramian Audubon Society Field Trip \nJoin members of the Bartramian Audubon Society and Jennings staff on Saturday\, March 28 at 7:00 p.m. for an owl prowl and woodcock watch.  After a brief indoor presentation the group will venture out onto the prairie area trails in hopes of hearing owls and seeing the male woodcocks demonstrating their courtship display.   This is a field trip offered by the Bartramian Audubon Society.  This is a free experience and no pre-registration is required.

Join Jennings staff to learn more about an animal that has made its presence known again at the park after a period of absence.  A brief\, indoor introduction will be followed by an outdoor walk to search for signs of recent beaver activity\, and perhaps even to catch a glimpse of one of these industrious creatures.
