SUMMARY:Author/Illustrator Lindsay Barrett George Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Children’s author and illustrator Lindsay Barrett George will facilitate a free workshop focusing on family literacy and illustration for preschool-aged children and their parents/caretakers at the Greensburg Hempfield Public Library. This project\, funded in part by a grant from the Pitt Year of Creativity\, seeks to improve early literacy by increasing interaction between young children and their caretakers while showing the benefits of reading\, writing\, and creating with children on a daily basis. Wendy Hardy\, EdD\, associate professor of early childhood education at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg\, is the organizer of this event.
