SUMMARY:National Biomechanics Day at Carnegie Mellon University
DESCRIPTION:This one-day event is aimed at high schoolers ages 14-18 who would be interested in enriching their STEM education. Students have the opportunity to attend our event virtually (March 26th) or in-person at CMU’s state of the art Maker’s Space (April 2nd). Student participants will spend the afternoon engaging in hands on lessons to teach them about the field of biomechanics. Activities included: 3D DNA modeling\, human mechanics of drumming\, behind the scenes looks into 3D printing of lower limb prostheses\, and more! This event is a free\, hands-on way for students to learn from current CMU students in the field participating in cutting edge research.
