SUMMARY:Project Pipeline Architecture Camp
DESCRIPTION:Do you know a middle or high schooler interested in a future in Architecture? \n \nThe Project Pipeline Architecture Camp serves\, in part\, as NOMA’s solution to increasing the number of underrepresented minorities pursuing careers in architecture. \n \nIn 2005\, the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA) created an engaging\, interactive STEM program and curriculum to introduce minority children to the world of architecture. This program\, Project Pipeline Architectural Camp\, has run successfully in cities across the nation\, spreading the knowledge of the architecture profession to an enthusiastic audience. This year NOMA PGH is excited to bring Project Pipeline to Pittsburgh once again. Project Pipeline serves\, in part\, as NOMA’s solution to increasing the number of underrepresented minorities pursuing careers in architecture. The intent is to expose these groups to architecture and the built environment as early as third grade and continue the STEM exposure throughout their school years.\n \nThis year\, the camp will be at Carnegie Mellon University’s Margaret Morrison Hall on June 29th-30th 2019   \n\n \n\nWith the aid of local minority architects and design professionals\, students will be working on an architectural project\, sited within the city\, focused on creative thinking\, oral and visual communication\, model building\, and the collaborative design process.\n\n\n \nPlease visit nomapgh.org/projectpipeline/ to register.  \n\nThe camp fee of $35 includes lunch\, snacks\, project supplies for both days\, and a Project Pipeline camp t-shirt. \nA limited number of scholarships are available.\n\n\nStay Connected!\nCheck out Project Pipeline Architectural Camp on YouTube:  NOMA PGH – Project Pipeline 2018
