Top 10 November events for Pittsburgh kids

November celebrates trees and pets, cartoons and comics, plus a leap into the Christmas holiday season.

Entertainment takes a chilly turn with “Disney on Ice: Frozen” at PPG Paints Arena. Kids who just can’t “Let It Go” will be clamoring for the chance to see their favorite characters, from Olaf and Sven to sisters Anna and Elsa.

Row House Cinema invites kids to bring their leftover trick-or-treat goodies to a screening of Looney Tunes cartoons and silly Charlie Chaplin shorts. The second-annual Trash Your Popcorn & Watch Cartoons theme means mixing your candy with popcorn for a sugary, salty taste bud explosion. Yes, please!

Any number of critters will be on hand at the huge, three-day Pittsburgh Pet Expo at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Included among the lineup is the International Cat Association’s World of Cats, the Steel City Reptile Expo, and the North American Diving Dogs Competition. We dare you not to laugh during the National Dachshund Races. Hot dog!
