This Friday, April 25, the Kidsburgh team will once again gather via Zoom with folks from organizations and schools throughout the Pittsburgh region. We hold these “pitch meetings” several times each year to hear what the many child-serving organizations in our area have on tap for the coming months.
If you’re involved with a local organization, we’ve still got a few five-minute time slots left for Friday’s virtual meeting, which runs from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. (Sign up right here and then you’ll receive the Zoom link.) Kristine Sorensen (KDKA-TV), Melissa Rayworth (Kidsburgh) and Alexa Bocek (SLB Radio Productions Inc.) will be there to hear your pitch.
We’re also eager to hear story ideas and suggestions from our readers. If there’s a parenting-related topic you’d like to learn more about or particular resources you’d like help finding, just email us at info@kidsburgh.org. Tell us what you like to learn about and we’ll get to work on a story. You can also use the Submit a Story Idea form on our website.
At the moment, the Kidsburgh team is especially interested in story ideas for the May-August timeframe for our spring and summer guides.
Also, we’re always glad to highlight resources and people who are supporting families. So feel free to tell us about the people and organizations who are making a difference for families in the Pittsburgh area. Lastly, our cohort of youth reporters from SLB Radio Productions are always looking for interesting story ideas that can be explored from a teen perspective.
So get in touch. Whether we hear from you via email or see you on Zoom this Friday afternoon, we’re excited to hear your story ideas.
