Jonah Winter – Children’s Book Biographer Presented by Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures

Jonah Winter is the award-winning author of more than 30 nonfiction picture books which promote social justice, facts, and artistic expression. His books include New York Times Best Illustrated Books DiegoHere Comes The Garbage Barge!, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg: The Case Of RBG Vs. Inequality, along with Jane Addams Children’s Book Award recipient and Kirkus Prize finalist, Lillian’s Right to VoteNew York Times Notable Children’s Book, My Name is James Madison HemingsNew York Timesbestseller Barack, and The Secret Project, which received 5 starred reviews.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas, raised in Dallas, and a former resident of New York City, San Francisco, Idaho, Maine, and Virginia, Winter currently resides in a small town in Pennsylvania.
