Many Pittsburgh-area families got great news this week: The CDC has approved COVID-19 vaccine booster shots for all kids between the ages of 12 and 15.

Knowing many of you are likely eager to get appointments, we’ve checked with local providers to find out where booster appointments are available. Here’s what we’ve found:

Allegheny Health Network: AHN’s scheduling site is now taking booster appointments for kids 12-15. You can also check in with your AHN pediatrician.

CVS locations: As of today, the online scheduling portal at CVS is booking booster appointments for 12- to 15-year olds.

UPMC: UPMC began offering booster appointments for 12-15-year-olds today, says Al L’Altrelli, director of pharmacy operations. UPMC is also offering boosters for 5-11-year-olds “who are moderately to severely immunocompromised and 28 days out from their primary series,’ L’Altrelli says. You can book through their vaccine site or check with your UPMC pediatrician. And their Southside hub is accepting walk-ins.
