Broadway performer Billy Hartung shares advice on the latest Kidsburgh Podcast

“So many kids dream of making it to Broadway, the pinnacle of musical theater,” cohost Kristine Sorensen says at the top of the latest Kidsburgh Podcast episode. “Billy Hartung made it, originating one of the main roles in the musical ‘Footloose’ on Broadway in 1998. He was also in the movie musical ‘Chicago’ and continues to share his love for musical theater as executive director of Center for Theater Arts in Mount Lebanon outside Pittsburgh.”

What inspired Billy Hartung on his road to Broadway and beyond? In this episode of the Kidsburgh Podcast, we sit down with the multitalented Hartung to hear all about the thrills and challenges of his journey.

And at the start of the episode, we also share details on more creative fun: The Fiddlesticks concerts for families at the Pittsburgh Symphony. And at the end of the episode, our Tea with Teens team interviews local high schoolers about how they handle rejection on their journeys as they pursue their goals.

You can listen to the entire conversation on Apple PodcastsPandora and Spotify, at the SLB website, or listen right here:
