Best Pittsburgh playgrounds: You be the judge!

We love our Pittsburgh playgrounds for so many reasons.

Kids have a blast burning off energy and growing into more and more physical challenges – steeper slides, tougher climbing walls, or reaching the highest heights on the swings.

Some playgrounds have particular features that kids love to revisit – the famed Big Blue Slide, for example. Others have tall wooden castles to explore, sprinklers to run through, rugged tire swings, or protected preschool areas with bouncy “flooring.”

Other playgrounds have incentives that moms tend to care about: Equipment that is well-maintained, clean restrooms, an idyllic green setting, tables for a handy lunch, shady areas to escape the sun and cool off.

We’d like to hear about the best aspects of your favorite playground – and why your kids love it – for an upcoming Kidsburgh story.

Shoot us an email at info@kidsburgh.org — photos are welcome, too. We’ll share your suggestions in a Kidsburgh guide to the best Pittsburgh playgrounds.
