It’s the final weekend of August and there are plenty of Pittsburgh family events happening. Check out this lineup:

Friday, Aug. 26: Farmers Grill at Allegheny Commons Market, 3 p.m.-7 p.m.

Visit Blackberry Meadows Farm Farmers Grill at the Allegheny Commons Market in the North Side on Friday for P.I.G. burgers, all-beef hot dogs, and grilled vegan polenta. Families can also shop the Farm Store online for fresh, nutrient-dense, community-grown produce and frozen meats, and arrange for pick-up at the Farmers Grill. All products are grown and made within 50 miles of Blackberry Meadows Farm — most within 10 miles!

Friday, Aug. 26: The Mother of All Baby Showers at PNC Park, 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Forget everything you know about baby showers, because this event is unlike anything you have ever experienced. The Mother of All Baby Showers® (MOABS) is an adults-only night full of resources, support and education from experts, peers and hand-picked local and national brands. New and expectant parents who attend are showered with goodies, educated and entertained all under one roof. Couples will find exclusive deals on products and services, plus food, refreshments and spa treatments, along with plenty of learning and laughing. Expectant parents can test out products, get insight from parenting experts and connect with other parents while finding local and national resources. (Kidsburgh will be there — look for our table!) Tickets are $20 per person or $30 per couple.

Friday, Aug. 26: Kathleen Edwards with special guest Matt Sucich in concert at South Park Amphitheater, 7 p.m.

South Park hosts Kathleen Edwards with special guest Matt Sucich on one of the final weekends of Allegheny County’s free Summer Concert Series (see the full summer lineup here). (All kids under 18 should be accompanied by an adult/guardian.) Register here, so the organizers will know how many people to expect. Tools and gloves will be provided. Please bring your own water and wear sturdy shoes and clothes you can get dirty (pants and long sleeves).
