Room on the Broom

Based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s book of the same name, Room on the Broom is the tall story of five creatures’ attempt to share a witch’s one-woman broom. Room on the Broom is a performance of the Citizen’s Bank Children’s Theater Series, and runs from Feb. 7 through Feb. 13 at the Byham Theater and a selection of schools. The show is 55 minutes long, and suitable for 3-to 10-year-olds. Tickets are $10.50 in advance and $12 at the door.

Pittsburgh Ballet Theater’s Peter Pan runs Feb. 12 through Feb. 21 at the Benedum Center, Downtown. Choreographed by Jorden Morris, Peter Pan promises a dance production that will excite the whole family. Tickets $28-$110.

TapeScape 2.0

First exhibited in the fall of 2013, TapeScape 2.0 returns to the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh on Feb. 13. The TapeScape is a maze of tunnels constructed from over 10 miles of packing tape. Children can explore the tunnels (with shoes off and socks on) while they marvel at the surprising use of an everyday material. Check out photos from the previous TapeScape at the Children’s Museum website. Open daily, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.; included in regular admission.
