Maker Monday visits the art of origami to create fun Paper Puppets. Moms will likely remember the basic folds from their younger days making Fortune Tellers or Cootie Catchers. 

Build it, wreck it, code it, or fly it. These exciting STEM summer camps will be a big hit with kids.

A hot bath can be more fun by tossing in a couple of Bath Bombs and watching them fizz for a luxuriously scented soak. Kids can have fun making Bath Bombs themselves, measuring ingredients, mixing and molding.

These decorative Bird Seed Cakes hang outdoors on tree branches, offering delicious snacks for birds that stick around all winter long.

Maker Monday combines artistry with nature in Pine Cone Owls.

This week’s Maker Monday activity is a Glowing Olympic Torch so kids can join the Opening Ceremonies at home in front of the TV.

Is anything more exhilarating than lying facedown on a skeleton luge, traveling downhill at crazy speeds?

“Many students begin life in college not having direction. Tour Your Future can create excitement and interest in STEM to help guide their future decisions by highlighting an interest.”

The best part of the fun is using a magnet underneath to send skaters across the ice, spinning and twirling.

“The maker movement has provided local schools and organizations with a way to re-contextualize some age-old ideas like learning by doing, using our hands and working together on projects.”

This no-sew Maker Monday project gives kids a chance to imagine their own Olympic dreams.

“It all began with the parents coming together. They recognized the gap in our students being prepared for 21st-century problem solving, and resolved to create a space that is as good as what other schools have.”

With Maker Monday’s Puff Ball Race Track, kids will have a blast with an activity that can involve multiple challengers or a solitary player. 

“This really showed them, they’re not just an isolated person in time. They’re part of a river that runs through time.”

Stand-Up Christmas Tree Cards are fun to make and look really cool standing alone on a shelf or as part of a complete forest.

“Everything that we’ve done with this app has been a learning process.”
